Day 8: “Peace. Not Pain.”

Physical pain is debilitating. Ailments, disease, and injuries are all setbacks to your goals and plans. Many of you are believing for breakthrough in your health over these three weeks. You are suffering and desperate for God to set you free from the physical limitations you face. You long for peace despite your illness.

Jesus was well known for healing those within his reach while he walked the earth. He brings forth life in the grip of death’s sting. God is able to bring the whole earth into alignment with his will and you are not out of bounds. You can be released from the grip of fear and worry as it relates to your well-being.

Therapeutic fasting has been known to have significant health benefits. What you put (or don’t put) into your body each and every day radically affects every part of your health. Your energy, sleep, aches and pains, and even serious complications or disease are directly related to what you eat. God has created you spirit, soul and body. Your physical health is equally important to him as the spiritual.

As you fast, pray, and seek God in every area of your life to start your 2019, believe God for your physical body to be whole. Sickness and disease are not God’s will for your life. Surrender every part of yourself to him and believe for him to bring peace and restoration to your health.

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
    and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
    and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
    and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
    and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
    and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
    and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
    you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.”

Isaiah 58:6-9 (NIV)
